The American Board of Dermatology (ABD) has determined that participation in AAD’s DataDerm will satisfy Continuing Certification Program (CCP) requirements. As you likely know, one Quality Improvement activity must be completed in the first 5 years of each 10-year CCP cycle and another in the second 5 years of the cycle.
If you are an active participant in DataDerm, you have already demonstrated your commitment to quality improvement. Consequently, you are eligible to benefit from this arrangement with the ABD. You don’t need to take any additional steps to fulfill this requirement. The following information will be shared with the ABD through your CME transcript; full name, AAD Member ID, and email address along with the language “DataDerm CCP Participant 2025.” No data from your DataDerm submissions will be shared.
Although you are only required to satisfy the Quality Improvement component once every five years, as long as you remain an active participant in DataDerm, this information will be shared with ABD each year. We hope you enjoy this added benefit of being a DataDerm participant.
If you have any questions regarding this opportunity, please contact the DataDerm team.
